Dad's Like You

Dancing at the 2008 Daddy Daughter Dance
Eating cupcakes with dad at the dance.
Wondering what the heck is going on at the 2007 Daddy Daughter Dance.
Grace wondering why all these people are starring at her at the dance.

Dad's like you make the most simple things wonderful.

Grace told me this morning that she has the best father ever.I could not agree more with the little toddler.

Happy Father's Day Josh and Happy Father's Day to all the great dad's out there!

Monday

Baby Number Two

Baby number two is on his/her way.
Josh and I are excited to officially announce to the world that I am 3 months pregnant.

Feeling good for the most part, just a little extra tired then usual.

Expected due date is December 18th.

This makes Grace and child # 2 almost exactly 2 years apart! Yikes!

Our Town Our Park

Grace loving the swings.

Grace in the sand throwing sand at other children.

Grace received a picket in the park with her name on it. It was a gift from our friends Mary & Donny.

Ok, Grace is really upset here because we took her away from the swings.

Happy again back at the swings.

Rolling around in the tunnel.

What a day at the park.

We live in the best community EVER. Last week I was apart of a very special project called, Our Town Our Park. The community donated money to build this amazing play ground. It is huge. My photos do not even do it justice. People from the community paid for it and people from the community built it.

This past Sunday was the grand opening. Grace was very excited.

I am really proud to have been apart of a project that will stand in Anacortes forever. Our kids will play on this playground for several years to come.

First Tea Party

Grace enjoyed her first tea party with Brooke and Kuba in her bedroom.

We had a nice surprice visit from the newly weds over Memorial Weekend.

It was a special treat.

Memorial Weekend Camping Trip

Grace and I taking in the sunset at Green Point.

Josh standing very proud in front of the tent that I his wife set up all by myself!

Kelly ( who is 4 ) took this family shot in front of our new tent.

There goes the sun...

Dosen't Grace look like the big girl on this bike.

I love living in Anacortes.

Kelly dosen't get it, Grace dosen't share her food.

Already getting her going on the climbing wall.

Trying to feed Grace without a high chair was sure interesting. It took both Josh and I to keep her in control.

Sean and Karah Sleeper.

Another family shot by Kelly in our new tent!

This is only two weeks late, but I wanted to share some pics from Grace's first camping trip.

We kept things local and stayed at our very own Washington Park located in beautiful Anacortes ( the most northern San Juan Island).

Grace had hot dogs, smores, played on the beach and got really dirty. It was a perfect camping trip.
The crew that we went camping with was our dear friends Sean & Karah Sleeper, Shannan Sleeper and her daughter Kelly who is 4 and who was really into Grace all weekend.

Tuesday

I wonder what she is thinking...

These beautiful pics are from Kuba's fancy camera. Aunty Brooke and Kubs have a new home in Seattle we spent the afternoon there getting into everything.

Thursday

Painting With Chocolate Pudding

Kids love this activity and parents are a little afraid of it. At yesterday's Messy Me class Grace got to paint with pudding. This really meant that she sat in the same spot and ate a cup full of chocolate pudding at 10am in the morning.
I think she had a good time!

Friday

Tulip Field

It's not too late to check out the tulip fields! Grace fit right in on the tulip fields with her tulip sweater and jeans.
We were lucky to attend a graduation party for Josh and his classmates last weekend that was right across the street from these beautiful tulip fields.
That's right Josh has completed his MASTER'S degree in education. Grace and I are very proud of him and all of his hard work.

Wednesday

Messy Me

What can you believe that I forgot to bring my camera to Grace's first round of Messy Me? I say first round because I teach this class twice a year and you can be in the class until your 3 years old. So Grace still has five more rounds.
Anyways, it was priceless. Take my word for it, Grace was covered head to toe in men's shaving cream. She also covered her hands in blue paint and then ran her hands in her golden hair. The other mom's who were smarter then I or not brave enough to let their child go for it were saying stuff like, " Oh my" and " Boy that Grace is a mess".
The class is called Messy Me and Grace was the perfect example of it.
We also had our first play dough experience. It smelled like Kool- Aid, so you guessed it Grace ate it.
Good times. Next week when we paint with pudding I'll make sure to bring my camera.

Tuesday

Baby Beau Meets The Yo Yo's

Brooke you are a natural mother. Come on let's start making some friends for Grace and Beau.

Tamsan,Me, Grace, Sarah, Beau and Brooke!

What a great afternoon I had watching my dear friend Sarah hold her new baby boy Beau. Already he looks like his mother, lets see if he gets her spunky personality. I hope so. All the stories that I can share with baby Beau about his mum...

Tamsan is still on her honeymoon glow with her man Joe.

Brooke is in the best shape I've ever seen her with all the training for the marathon she is hoping to STILL due this July.

Grace was a good girl and showed interested in the little baby boy Beau just as we were leaving. Go figure. Next time watch Beau, I think Grace will be coming right for you.

Monday

Will Miss You

Wait let me brush my tears away. I"m leaving tomorrow morning for the rest of the week to attend a conference in Eastern Washington. Four days will be the longest that I've been away from my little princess.
It makes me said. A co- worker just told me it gets easier as they get holder and then you start to worry again if there getting into your liqueur cabinet.
Which made me think Josh and I do not have a liqueur cabinet. 1) We don't drink the hard stuff too often and 2) If it were in the house we would just drink it all

I will miss my family this week...

Grace's First Blue Bird Day

The proud Grandparents!

Kicking back at the top of the mountain.

Grace is getting ready for the first chair lift ride.

Grace & Rainier

This might be our x-mas card!

Down the hill they go.

We took Grace up to Crystal Mountain for her first day on the hill. I think she was excited, scared and curious all at the same time.

She loved being in the back pack and would make the "Weeeeeeee" sounds when we were going down hill.
