How Tall This Fall?

Family Farm Tour 2013.
We only hit two this year.  But hey two is better then none.
Pumpkin Patch followed by a trip to check out the cows, aka FREE ice cream bars.

Love this time of year.
What a great day.

We are lucky.

Monday

First Day of Pre School

Today marks our last first day of pre school.
This makes year 4 in a row for us going to a Whitney Pre School.

It was easy.
It was lets do this mom.
It was one big boy ready to keep this thing called "education" going.

Emmit you were a pro in your class this morning.
You welcomed your new friends and showed them around the room.
You are a natural leader.
You lead by your actions and not your words. The best kind of leader to be my sweet boy.

Class of 2027 here we go!

Wednesday

First Day Of First Grade

My post are far and in between, but some occasions call for me to dust off the lab top and create a entry for this family blog.

So with that said.

Grace Anne today was your first day of 1st grade. You woke with a smile and you were dressed and ready by 6am. I think you were just a little excited.

Your teacher is Mrs. D'Amelio and you are in classroom # 9.

You were welcomed at school today by some old friends and a few new.

You told us that 1st grade was going to be hard and that you wanted to back to your classroom that you had last year.

Challenges are good Grace and we think you are going to thrive this year.

Keep your eye up and do YOUR best Grace.

We love you and our hearts smile thinking of what a young lady you have become.

We hope you listen to your teacher well.

Act a little less goofy in front of your peers.

Treat others with respect and kindness.

We also hope that you stop sticking your tongue out in photos:)

To the moon and back.

Tuesday

Yurt Life

I love Cave B Inn and thanks to my parents, Josh and I got to sneak away and spend a night in a Yurt.
It was awesome.
Something I would do again.
Resting pool side, people watching, going to a concert, hiking to the river and drinking wine all with Josh made for the perfect retreat and getaway.

Camp Site #31

My family and I have been coming to this 8 mile Camp ground in Leavenworth since I was 10 years old. Every summer we come for a few days or for 10 days at a time.
Sometimes we settle for whatever site number we can get and if your lucky you arrive just in time to get camp site #31.
It is a place that brings back memories. Simple memories of my family. Playing in the river, walking to the big rock and throwing peanut shells in the fire.
My parents raised my brother and I right. They shared their love for the outdoors and the easy going ways of spending time with one another around the fire. I am forever grateful.

It was a great weekend for the kids. They got to spend three nights camping with grandma and grandpa. They went into town, went rock climbing, road out a thunder store in the tent and spent hours in the lake. Grace and Emmit will know always be looking forward to their weekend camping trip with their grandparents.

Wednesday

Sharps Park

Spent my Sunday afternoon hiking to Sare's Head in Sharps Park.

We found a geocashe and a fairy village.

Best part was time with my boy.

Best lookout in Anacortes, but only because I got to share it with Emmit.

Love that boy.

Art Dash

To say that I was proud would not be saying enough, when I saw my family running to the finish line at the 8th Annual Art Dash.
They pushed themselves and fought through the pains of running on pavement in the hot sun .
They all finished .
Only one puked.(Grace)
They never gave up.
