The Year of the Bikes

Christmas Day the kids woke up to a tree full of presents and bikes that SANTA left for them.  It was some what warm outside on Christmas Day so we were outside going for bike rides before 9am.

We were happy to spend Christmas in our home and glad that Auntie Morgan was able to join us.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was a full day of eating, drinking, eating and yes more drinking. Then when you get 5 kids all under the age of 5 with no naps, amped up on sugar and WAY too much apple juice under the tree waiting to open up their presents, you have the most perfect Christmas Eve!

Thank you mom, dad, Papa and Indira for feeding us and for letting us TOTALLY take over your house for three days.

Everything but the kitchen sink...

OK, so we traveled to my parents house for some eve of the Christmas Eve celebration and basically we packed everything but the kitchen sink.

Horse drawn carriage rides up and down Commercial Ave. on every Saturday during the holiday season.

Grace as you can imagine was in HEAVEN as she got to do some shopping with dad ( hopefully for me) and see some horses.

I am ready for my very fancy cookie exchange party this afternoon, where it really doesn't matter what is inside the bag, as long as they are packaged cute.

Trust me I've learned this the hard way.

FYI-Zip lock bags are not cute, however they are the most practical.

Oh yes, the big jolly guy himself came early this year.
True Story.
As I was sitting in my living room looking at the tree I noticed a present under it in the back. Thinking this was a present we forgot to open for Emmit.
It was in Christmas wrapping.
So with Emmit in his crib for a nice winter's nap ( OK he was crying at the top of his lungs, but he has a gate in his room so he can't get out) I went ahead and opened up the package.
Holy SH*T were my exact words.
There she was, what I've been wanting to buy myself for at least two years.
A Canon EOS Rebel T1i Camera.
I have a lot to learn about this new relationship with my camera and I am MORE then excited to begin a new digital journey with her.
So thank you Santa, clearly I've been a good girl this year and feel VERY loved by the big guy and his Miss.

Party Time

We celebrated Emmit's 2nd birthday with a few of our friends and family last night. Boy was a good time had by all, some more then others (dad) but I will not mention any names.
