One Last Time

This past Sunday it was hot, so Grace and I dragged out the pool and put on her new swim suit and splashed around. We were able to get our neighbors Garett and Katie to join in on the fun as well.

Our Play Date With Brock & Rhett

Last Friday I got to spend the afternoon with a old friend ( that's right Kelli your almost 30). Kelli and I used to take dance class together 5th grade until 9th grade. In fact Kelli and I were laughing that one year we decided to do the buddy photos in all of our dance pictures. So funny. We thought we were so cool.
After high school Kelli and I went our different directions in college and just lost touch. Thanks to a common friend we were able to reunite. Kelli and her husband Brian live in a beautiful home in Belleuve with their two boys Brock (21 months) and Rhett ( 4 weeks).
Kelli is a great mom and it was just a blast to catch up and to watch our off spring play and fight over toys.

Thursday

We have a ROOF

We have a roof and a basketball hoop. Josh and I still have no idea how that got there. Maybe the construction workers play games of PIG or BUMP on their breaks.

Tuesday

It's About Time

Wanted to share that my dear friend Cassie and Will just got engaged!
Josh and I are VERY excited for the both of you.

TO ensure we get on the guest list I wanted you to know that Josh is excellent at parking cars and I am good at the coat check.

Monday

The Evergreen State Fair

Nothing beats an afternoon of farm animals, corn dogs and constantly keeping a head count on the group. Thank you Peter, Angie, Jack, Carly, Papa, Indira, Josh and Grace for a wonderful day at the fair.

Tuesday

The New Addition

Many of you have been asking about the new addition that we are doing to our house. I really don't know what all is going on, but I do know that it is all happening fast. Which is important since baby # 2 is due in 78 days.

Here are the latest pics that we took last night of the house project.

Sunday

Weekend At Grandma & Grandpa's

While Josh and I went to the Gorge to see Jack Johnson my parents and aunt and uncle stayed home and watched all the grand kids. Grace had a great time. All the toys seemed to be hers and any adult lap that was open had to always be hers as well. Bless her heart. She has no idea that she is going to be a big sis sooner then later.

Thursday

Too Fast

This morning as I ate my bowl of cereal I sat in Grace's room and watched her sleep. Something I hardly ever do, simply because I am afraid I'll wake her.

As I sat there in my rocking chair I couldn't but help think how fast my little girl is growing. All parents told me when I was pregnant with her that time goes by so fast. You really don't have a understanding of this until you have a child of your own.

Grace is growing up too fast.

At 19 months she is talking up a storm, happiest to be outside and around a crowd of people and still not eating her fruits and vegetables on a regular basis.

It is the best feeling in the world to come home and to have her run to the door to greet me.

So the point of this blog is to share that this morning I was feeling a bit sentimental about my little girl growing up so fast and a reminder to myself to slow down and to watch her sleep and grow more often.

Monday

The Yo Yo's & Off Spring

It's been some time, but the Yo Yo's were all reunited on Brooke's beautiful new front porch.
From Left to Right you will find ( Me, Grace, Brooke, Tamsan, Sarah, Beau and Cassie).
Where we go one we go all, or something like that...

The Boomers

Cannon Beach Summer Vacation

We spent the last week down on the Oregon Coast enjoying Cannon Beach. We stayed at a little motel on the beach and took in as much sun, sand and surf as we could. OK maybe we watched other people surf and Grace did get taking down by a wave so I guess that counts. It was great! Grace loved the beach, the feel of sand under her feet and watching all the kites in the sky.
We got to spend a few days of our vacation with Brooke and her small group of 29 that were staying at the hotel right next door. It was great fun and they were all so helpful in keeping a watchful eye on Grace who was always heading towards the water.
We took a few day trips from Cannon Beach to Seaside to feed the seals, Grace was completely scared. We took a trip to the Tilamock Cheese factory where we ate cheese and ice cream and we took a trip to Escola State Park. It was pouring down rain so we got to see the views from the car! You never know about the weather on the Oregon Coast.
