So Big

My little girl is growing up so fast. Check out her new hair do, her new shoes, taking a bath with a little boy and using a real fork, kind of.

The Family

The family up for a little BBQ!

Hula Girl

Thank you Brooke, Grace loves her new hula outfit that you got for her from Hawaii!

Shipwreck

This past weekend was Anacortes Shipwreck Day which is a large flea market downtown. OK let me be more honest it's one over sized garage sale with a lot of junk.

This Shipwreck Day had a little something extra sweet. Brooke set up her first booth to sell her Vivi & Bette jewelery. Check it out online http://www.viviandbette.com/ for even more details. It was great. Brooke sold a total of 10 items and her goal was to at least sell 1 item. Her line of jewelry looked great and very professional. I am very proud of Brooke and her fabulous jewelry line.

Some of the highlights of the day was that Brooke was wearing a captain hat and I a sailor hat. Brooke got hit on by a salty sailor that was at least 86 years old, there was a surprise visit from Brooke's aunt and two cousins. My parents and aunt and uncle stopped by the booth to find some goods. The biggest highlight was that I got to spend the day with by BF laughing, people watching and buying other people's junk.

I must thank my husband Josh for his creative inspiration with the window display piece and the flower jars. Way to go Josh.

Let me introduce

It has been awhile since my last blog and a lot is going on. First I must catch everyone up to date. My aunt and uncle from New York finally made the move to the northwest. They are currently living with my parents, which means my parents are living with their best friends, which really really means it is like animal house at my parents house.

Not only are they my aunt and uncle, but they are also my god parents. They are the most loving and kind people that I know and they are always done to have a good time.

So let me introduce my Uncle Kevin ( Papa) and my Aunt Indira.

Love you guys and so glad you live in the Northwest.

Thursday

The Best Four Years

Thank you Josh for the best Four year's! Happy Anniversary. I love you to the moon and back. Which is a lot if you consider the distance to and from!

Monday

There are no ganrantee's...

Grace taking in the beauty of the San Juan Islands.

"Look dad a whale!" Ok maybe not, but the excitment is there.

Grace slept on me like this for an good hour.

This is your classic Northwest shot. A mountain in the back and a ferry crossing right in front.

We went on a family adventure this past weekend and signed up for famous Anacortes Whale Watching Tour where in all their printed materials for the tour they GUARANTEE that you will see Orca Whales.

Well 5 hours into the tour our skipper had to inform us that there were no whales today, and that we will hopefully have better luck next time.

Although we did not see Orca's it was a beautiful boat ride clear up to Canada. Grace enjoyed the boat ride, the hot dog and the unlimited refills on her lemonade aid.

I will say that the whale watching tour company did give us all free tickets to join them again on another tour.

Guess Who Went In the Big Girl Potty?

That's right we had an extraordinary afternoon on Sunday. Grace was running around the house naked taking in the cool breezes from the late afternoon, when I turned to her and asked if she wanted to use the big girl potty. She shook her head yes. So we headed to the bathroom, I held her on top of the toilet. She gave a little grunt ( She must have learned this from her daddy) and ta da a little you know what came out. So we looked at it and then we waved goodbye to it as it swirled down the toilet. The sound of the flush gave Grace the most excitement.

Who knew I could have dedicated an entire blog to my daughter's first you know what in the big girl potty.

Way to go Grace, we are so proud of you.

Megan, Josh and Ryan all enjoying themselves. Megan thought this was mother's day as well with all the beer around!

Mom and I were the DD's for the day.
It was the mother of all father's day for Josh and my dad. We started off enjoying breakfast at the famous Voula's in Seattle. This cafe was on the Food Network Diner's & Dive show. Then we hit up the Gasworks Park where we took in the sights and I reminisced of when I was in high school and we would go to keggers at the park.
Then is was off to the brew fest. Josh was like a little kid in a candy store with all the beer options around. We ran into some great friends and made the most of the day.
