Best Kept Secret...

Hope, Idaho is moments away from Schweitzer Ski Resort this small town nestled into the mountain was the perfect destination for a girls weekend. When my BFF Brookie Brooke calls and ask if I wanted in on this trip I said YES before she could even finish.

I don't have nearly as many photos as I should from such a epic weekend full of drinking, games, skiing, movies, eating, dancing and oh did I mention drinking. I tried to slow down and just enjoy the women that I was lucky to spend three days with.

Cavalia

Grace was very lucky to go and see the horse show Cavalia this past weekend with Grandma Laurie and Aunt Shelly.
No cameras were allowed inside so they captured what they could prior to going in.
Grace was speechless when she told me all about it. I was not there, away at girls weekend ( more to come on that soon) and then told me all the names of the horses she got to see.

Thank you Laurie and Shelly for treating Grace to such a special day.

We Spend Saturday's in the Gym

You can find us in the gym on Saturday's for the next couple of weeks, mostly because it is my job to be there and becasue Grace is in Pee Wee Basketball. Already she shows signs that her basketball skills are just like her mothers.

Which means she is lucky if she make a basket, she is great at doing a chest pass and her favorite part of the game is the social part with her friends at the end.

 Regardless how good she might be, I think she has fun at least trying.

 Emmit on the other hand is only 3 so he has to wait the side lines and watch.

 This is not saying much, but Emmit can dribble circles around Josh and I.

The New Grace

Let me introduce the new Grace.
This Grace not only has a new look, but she has been making her bed, picking up her toys and LISTENING the first time.
It's day two of this Grace. I hope it last FOREVER or at least until the end of the weekend.

Bottom line it doesn't matter what Grace I get, I'm just lucky to have her!

G & E

There has been a lot of Grace and Emmit time together these days.
Swim class, Tuesday night Tea Party, play dough time and couch time apparently seeing if one can stick there foot in his mouth!

It's Official

It's official Josh and I can no longer have anymore kids...

Nothing beats getting rosy cheeks and rolling in the snow all before noon with the neighborhood kids on a day when you have no school or work.

Waking Up To Snow

When you live on a Island and you wake up to snow it's pretty exciting.

Loved that at 6:45am Emmit runs into our bedroom yelling that it had snowed.

15 minutes later we ripped the tags off our new winter ski gear for the kids and we were out in the snow and slush by 7am.

Came back in at 8:45am and Grace asked me when it was lunch time.

God I love the snow even if it is just a dusting.

Normal right that Emmit gave his dad some EXTRA SPECIAL Birthday Brew.

Best Day Ever

OK so that was Grace's words not mine. You know the whole "this is the best day ever".

Ear piercing at the Cascade Mall.

 Followed by cake and ice cream. SO excited to blow out her 5 candles.

 OK here I go blowing my candles out.

 But my brother Emmit blew the candles out first. He was also excited.

 Emmit upset because he got told NO!

 OK Grace is happy again. We sang the song start to finish and she got to blow them out. Again. Emmit still upset.

 Happy again with ice cream.

Best day ever for sure.

It was just like yesterday I tell you.

You are loved by many, but you are loved most by your mom,dad and brother.

At 5 years old you amaze me by how kind you are to others.

That Grace is most important and I know that is something you will keep with you forever.

At 5 years old you give the best hugs ever and I like that you know when a person is needing of one.

It doesn't matter to us, because we think you are pretty much perfect the way you are.
